• Airport authority of India wins Jane award
  • The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has won the prestigious Jane's Award for 2012, an international award given to recognise and reward excellence in the air traffic control industry.
  • The AAI received the award for its Upper Airspace Harmonisation initiative under the best ‘Best Operational Efficiency' category.
    
    
• 112 government website hacked in three months
  • While the website of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd was hacked on December 4, 2011, by the ‘H4tr!ck' hacker group, websites of the Finance, Health, Human Resource Development Ministries and the Planning Commission were also defaced. Various State government websites that came under attack were from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
    
    
• Execution of will in favour of son excluding other legal heirs will not invalidate it.
  • Execution of a will by the father in favour of his son for taking care of him and his wife during their old age, excluding other sons or daughters on the ground that they had neglected him during his last days will not draw an inference of suspicion or invalidate the will.

• Transfer money to any country in 10 minutes flat through money gram
  • money transfer system was introduced after the Department of Posts entered into a memorandum of understanding with MoneyGram Payment Systems, Inc., USA
  • Under the system, recipients in India can collect the money remitted by the sender from any country which offers MoneyGram services within 10 minutes.
  • To avail himself of the Moneygram services, a remitter can go to any MoneyGram agent, fill a form and send the amount with the commission charges. The remitter gets a unique reference number after the transaction. The receiver can go to the post office with the unique reference number, fill a form, produce a valid identification and receive the money.
