- Lokpal bill introduced.
- The Lokpal will include the prime minister(With some exclusions), Current and former Mps (Except in what they say and vote in the parliament), ministers and all group A,B,C,D officers of the central government.
- 50% of the members of the lokpal and lokhayukta are from the Scs/STs, OBCs and women
- NGOs and institutions getting donations of more than 10 lakhs are included.
- Lokpal to have constitutional status and to be accountable to the parliament.
- The government nominees will have majority of the one on the selection committee, which will choose the lokpal's chairperson and the eight members.
- Judiciary and citizens charter not part of the bill and are covered by other laws.
- Coins from Satvahana period unearthed.
- Coins belonging to the satvahana period has been unearthed in shikaripura Taluk of Shimago district
- There were some lead and “potin” coins.
- The potin coins are traced back to the satvahana period and recokned to have been issued by satvahana rulers satakarani and pulmavi.
