supreme court allowed the export of endosulfan to enable manufacturers meet
their contractual obligations

- ¨ Cabinet approves bill to share mining profit

The
cabinet approved the landmark mines and mineral development bill(MMDR) that
provides for the mining companies to keep aside 26% of the profit to mining
development fund, to be used for the development and rehabilitation of the
project affected people in the tribal areas of the country

Cabinet
also approved appointing a regulatory body for overseeing the functioning of
the mining companies.
