- DAE set up expert panel on Kudankulam
- A group of 15 experts from various fields has been set up by the department of atomic energy to interact with TN government officials and spokespersons of the people of neighbourhood of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant(KKNNP).
- The expert group consist of reputed academicians, doctors, scientists and engineers.
- A New centre of excellence for Bajra
- The Union Agricultural ministry has approved chaudary Charan Singh, Haryana agricultural University Hisar as the Centre of Excellence in Bajra
- Bajra has high nutritive value, and it popularisation as a food grain and regular crop would ensure food security for the people.
